Getting to the Air Show

Directions:

If coming from the North on Highway 99:

1. Head southeast on CA-99 S toward Anderson Brothers Dr

2. Take exit 389 for Eaton Rd
0.2 mi
3. Turn left at Eaton Rd
1.7 mi
4. Turn left at Cohasset Rd
1.5 mi
5. Turn left at Boeing Ave
0.3 mi
6. Turn right at Fortress St
0.2 mi
7. Take the 2nd left onto Convair Ave

Head southwest toward Dr Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy

2. Turn right at Dr Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy

5. Take exit 387A for Cohasset Rd toward Mangrove Ave

Parking at the Chico Air Show

Chico Air Show parking is FREE!

There will be a few lots for handicap parking and those who have a Sponsor parking pass.

Bike to the Chico Air Show


The Chico Velo Club and the Butte Bicycle Coalition will be co-hosting Bike Valet service at this year’s air show!  Take the bike path all the way to the airport for a smooth ride in to the main entrance near the Chico Air Museum.  Bike racks, goodies, and bike safety information will await you at the bike parking station. 


          


Can I bring an ice chest?
For security purposes, no ice chests are allowed.


Can I bring my pet?
No. All pets should be left at home.


Should I bring my own chair?
Yes. Air Show Staff encourages you to bring a lawn chair.



What else should I bring/wear?

Sunscreen
Camera
Comfortable shoes and clothing
Hat
Hand-held umbrella
Lawn Chair or blanket for comfortable seating

Sorry, NO SMOKING, NO ICE CHESTS, NO PETS, NO PERSONAL GOLF CARTS

**Thanks to Bartlett's Hearing Aid Center, FREE EAR PLUGS will be available on the field at the gate, in the Kid's Zone, and at the First Aid Stations!


Can I Fly into the Air Show??

Yes!  Fly-in pilots are welcome to attend!  There will be plenty of parking at the FBO on thesouth side of the ramp.   Fly-in traffic is welcome during the following times:

Friday - 8 am - 5 pm (Field open for departures after 8:30 pm)

Saturday/Sunday - 7 am - 10 am

(Field open for departures after 2:30 pm)

An admittance gate will be located at the south end for your convenience.  Regular admission rates apply.

Display your air craft!

Do you have a unique or antique aircraft you'd like to display?  Contact our static display coordinator Justin Phillipson (530) 891-UFLY. to see if there is any additional availability in our display area.   



I'm an out of town guest, where should I stay??



The Holiday Inn is our air show host hotel just three miles from the airport.  Call (800) 310-2491 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              (800) 310-2491      end_of_the_skype_highlighting or (530) 345-2491 and request the Chico Air Show rate of $85 per night plus tax.  Or, book online (code preset on form) to reserve your room.  Reservation deadline:  September 16. Includes breakfast, complimentary shuttle to the Chico Municipal Airport, complimentary wireless internet, fitness facilities and pool.
